Let's Talk LUSH

11:53

Before leaving England I stocked up on some LUSH goodies and I thought I would do a little post about them. I repurchased some of my old favourites as well as some new products. Whenever I walk into a LUSH store wanting to try something new I just tell them what skin type/issues I have and then I let them suggest away. This tends to end up with me leaving with more than I had expected to buy but the products are always amazing! And this time was no exception.

Grease Lightning - Spot Treatment

This is the product that I will always repurchase when going to LUSH - it is so good! After I have taken off my makeup and washed my face I will apply a light layer of the gel (you only need a couple of pumps). I then apply whatever moisturiser I am using at the time and there you go! My favourite thing about LUSH is that their products always smell amazing, and that is very much the case with Grease Lightning (thyme, rosemary, tea tree - mmmm). I am lucky in the fact that my skin isn't bad with pimples and what not, but recently I have had some slightly temperamental breakouts and this product helps clear it right up.

Vanishing Cream - Facial Moisturiser

After using the Grease Lightning gel, I apply the Vanishing Cream Facial Moisturiser. This is one hell of a moisturiser - light, hydrating and effective. It does exactly as its name suggests, it really does vanish into your skin as opposed to sitting on it. The product is light and refreshing - I always apply this before doing my makeup. This is the moisturiser that the lovely LUSH babe suggested when I described my issues of an oily t-zone. I would really recommend this to anyone on the look out for a new (and yummy scented) light but amazing moisturiser. You really don't need to use a whole lot of product to cover your face so it really does last.

Rub Rub Rub - Shower Scrub (it rhymes - hehe)

Now on to this strange, alien looking goo. Don't be fooled by the funky looking colour - this is a wonderful scrub. Before buying the Rub Rub Rub show scrub I used their Ocean Scrub for ages. It was really good and was perfect for clearing and cleansing my face, however, I found that it was a little too rough for my skin after a while and I needed to switch it up. Rub Rub Rub is a lot finer as a scrub and also has the benefit of being suited for both body and face. I (obviously) use it when I'm in the shower and it always leaves my face feeling soft and fresh. What ever you do - avoid your eyes and mouth. I learned that today.

Brazened Honey - Fresh Face Mask

The LUSH face masks have always intrigued me, so now that I was on a bit of a LUSH shopping spree I thought... why the hell not try one out? Once again, Brazened Honey was a recommendation, mainly because it brought out the natural moisture in your skin and also functioned as a light scrub. This is an incredible face mask, especially as it is on of the fresh face masks that you keep in the fridge. I sometimes put this on in the morning fireboat 10 minutes before I hop into the shower where i scrub it off. It is so refreshing, delicious smelling and relaxing on the skin - the perfect way to start the day; a face mask and a cup of coffee.

Although this post completely sounds like a LUSH sponsored rave - it is just me showing some love to some wonderful LUSH products. That is all. Pinky promise. Now go and treat yourself to some goodies and have a lovely day!

Love, Caroline x
